www.porcmtbclub.org Directions - It was a little bit confusing finding the start of the ride. First of all, you want to head for the NORTH SHORE of moraine. From 79 we took 422 east and then basically did a U-turn on 422 west following signs for North shore. From 422 we traveled about 6.03 miles and took a left (there was a sign for mountain bike trail). Just up the road there was a nice lot on the right. Description - This was a very cool place to ride. Right from the start we encountered so much rock work - very impressive. From rock gardens to rock path's with a few slabs here and there. Pretty XC but fun and techy.. Trail mellowed for a bit then started hitting a bunch of rock slabs and tech sections again, very cool.. Some log pryamids here and there. Further out in the trail system it got a little less technical but lots of good flow, and on the way back uphill, the trail was layed out so nicely you seemed to descend after every climb. Should call whoever laid out this trail "the milkman", getting your money worth from your vert.. Not too many alternate trails in here, just one loop, in the form of a lariat, although you can take the power line back home for a slightly different route. Loops - |
