http://www.sambabiker.com/ (great
site with local ride info) - Actually met this crew on the trail and they
were super nice - even recognized us! Almost famous in PA. Directions - From Route 76 take exit for route 72, south .9 miles take a right, .43 miles take another right (pinch rd), 1.6 miles look for nice parking lot / vistors center on right. Nice bathrooms and everything. Description - Heard this place was technical, after riding swatara (nearby) I had my doubts. After about 5 seconds on the latest trail (#15) I was convinced this was to be a great day of riding. PMD headed back to the car to get her real pads (no it wasnt that time of the month).. Probably the craziest amount of rock work I have seen. All sweet technical lines, alternate rollers, a few drops, lots of cool rock formations and boulders. After 15 we hit 13 to 5 to 14. Much tamer trails but still good fun lines. We climbed up to top on #12 (great trail), good climb - and dropped into 4. 4 was a great DH run, great.. Awesome day. Only downside of this place is the imminent threat of trail closure for #14, 12, 4 and some of 13. But 15 is the best for sure.. Hope they get permission to build some more trails in here! Even if you had to go both ways on 15, it would be a great ride. Loops - Anything that includes 15 |
