Description - Update 2009: - I finally made it to Rays Indoor mountain bike park and was not disappointed one bit. PMD and I came totally un-prepared as we were headed back from a ski trip in Jackson Hole. Not to worry Ray had rental bikes, Rental helmets and protective gear for a super fair rental fee. It was Saturday and the place was PACKED but it really did not effect the riding one bit, the layout of the place is conducive to separating the free standing from the riding. No traffic problems at all, the areas are linked together with great flow & understandable signage. Everyone was cool & extremely polite. Dam good vibe. We started off in the beginner area to get warmed up. Nothing that intimidating there, some easy skinnies, tame tables and even a rock garden. From the beginner area you can pick up the xc loop which was quite the workout and very cool as it winds through the whole complex. Once we were warmed up we headed to the intermediate stunts & intermediate tables. Really fun lines, I even cleared a few tables before I left. The stunt lines had some cool features like a see saw & suspension bridge, all low to the ground and wide. Saw some of the experts linking tricks from one line to another (very impressive).. The expert stunts kicked ass! Harder than it looks to ride skinnies on a hardtail singlespeed for sure. Ray is always mixing up the layout every year so you can expect new things when you come back. The coolest features I liked were the Elevator to FWO & fourple teeter line.. The articulating see saw was a bitch, never cleaned it, puketarded every time.. I take my hand off to Ray! This place has something for everyone. I had no energy when I arrived and even questioned why I was there (after 3 days driving), but once I pedaled for 5 minutes I was hooked.. As The World Famouse OBD would say.... DO IT!! Rays indoor video Loops - Pre-ride Music: |
