Directions - From Route 89 (Lebanon)
take route 120 south for roughly 8.6 miles and take a right on main street,
1.71 miles take a left on columbus jordan road, .62 miles park at small lot
on right. Trails are located on either side of road. Description - We started off with the French's ledge side of the road, climbed up yellow and took a left on red, to yellow which went through some logging area, but still followable. Finally looped back to red and followed red to the ledges. To actually get to the view from the ledge's it was a decent 100% hike a bike, up a couple hundy feet. Really nice 360 degree view, but I had to dive out of the sun asap with my flippin doxy meds.. Headed back on toward south trailhead where we found a few slickrock sections. In general the trails were 1.5 track, few rocks, few roots, very buff all in all.. Quite a few trails are not listed on the map, more exploration is required. Bring both maps BTW.. Decided to take a quick trip on the farnum side.. Lots of singletrack over there, nothing is really marked, but it seemed to have a good flow. Nothing technical, just singletrack. GPS recommended for this area. We ended up on a fire road that took us back to the car, but it was not that easy to navigate without some local knowledge of the trails. Loops - |
