| Directions - From I40, Exit 64 towards
Black Mountain, right on East State Street, Look for old highway us 70 that
parallels I 40 (traveling East), At stop sign go straight and follow road to
parking area.. You will be right next to the highway, but not for
long. If you fall off the first switchback, you might just be turned
into roadkill.. Maybe not that close.. Description - Category - Intermediate,

This ride was awesome and unexpected! It starts off with many
switchbacks up semi rocky rooty wide single track. Some of the switchbacks are
pretty challenging, on the way up you get a view and at the top you get some
nice scenery too (me watering mountain laurel that is).. Ok now for
the fun part - awesome downhill off - camber single track - looks easy but
you can slide off the trail if not very careful - total white knuckler..
Some rooty sections will exercise every bit of suspension you have, no big
drops just constant pounding.. We even found a nice ramp stunt on the
way down.. Not too many rocks, downhill switchbacks were great.
Just one more rocky section, then more s-track and a psuedo set of stairs
and your at the bottom. Ready to climb again?? well its a 5 mile
uphill road ride back to the car.
