NC - Dupont - in Transylvania Co. - Mountain Bike Trail Review with Map and Pictures

This place is an excellent intermediate mountain bikers destination..  Dupont has a little bit of everything..  Cedar mountain trail has several miles of slick rock, with some semi rocky, single track and double track in between.  Burnt mountain has some great water bar ramps for downhill screaming or technical ups..  Some buff single track was found in some spots too..  Incredible views of surrounding mountains and waterfalls make the fire road trails worth while..  We even found some switchbacks on the galax trail.  There are also some drop-offs that you don't have to look too hard for. 

OK that was the good, now the bad..  Not too many complaints about this place, but a few worth mentioning..  There are several "trails" on the map that were actually fire roads..  Second, some of the main roads basically stop at either side of the seemingly impassible river.  I guess if you know the trails here, some of this could be avoided..  Overall a great riding experience.
