| Directions - Just take 82 to 156 south, through hamburg, look for a sign for the state forest, its a left, after you drive
by it, do a u-turn, and take a right.. Description - Nehantic
State forest in Lyme is a small state forest with many fire roads and a
small blue trail system.. There are some great trails here,
singletrack, some rocky, some technical, but its chopped up way too much by
many short hike a bikes, couple moderate hike a bikes.. Very
desolate area.. Best riding I found was the ride down the spine of
nickerson hill.. I was also chasing an orange cat down this trail,
which I though was strange.. If your in the neighborhood this can be a
good ride, but not without punishment, expect to push your bike up and down
some hills and over some downed trees..
