Directions - Take rte 44 to New hartford, right on rte 219 for about 3 miles, left on rte
318, go over dam, take first right onto beach rock road. FOllow to stop
sign and go straight onto rte 181 for .25 miles take left on day road, then .25
miles take right onto hill road for 1.22 miles (320 vertical if your stupid
enough to be on your bike) Park at gate - enter Macro size gravel road. Description - Some
great riding can be had in this scenic forest located in northwest ct.
Wide single track with exposed roots, rocks and pine needle covering is the
norm for this place. Some great hard ups and downs with one gonzo
rocky downhill (see pics). Do not ride this place
wet!! More exploring is required but check out the awesome ridge
view with many rocky tech's.
New Note - This place may actually be closed to mountain biking..
Yes Boo Hoo.. Obey all no bikes signs and if you do ride here, be nice
to hikers, get off your bike and say hello.. Try not to run over any
dogs... Ehhhhm....
