Downhill
Two new trails being built for the end of the 06 Season
The two new trails opening this season will be “classic” downhill ones
combining fast singletrack, gravity and natural or manmade features, such as
tabletops, ladders, bridges, berms, jumps, rock gardens and drops. Come get
a taste of the first trail this weekend. The Bike Crew has worked hard to
get the upper half up and running. Stay tuned for updates on the new trail
progress. If you thougt this year was epic, get ready because the Forest
Service approved five new trails to open for next summer!
Keystone Bike Park. Aggressive descents, North Shore
features, drops and much more. All just a chairlift ride away.
New for 2006 is the Keystone Bike Park's Drop Zone
The Keystone Bike Park Crew has transformed a ridge line of drops
into a free fall for you. Choose from four alleys of multiple features all
located off the Paid in Full trail.
Alley 1 - Piranha, Barracuda and Jaws -
three ramps - ranging from a small 5-foot drop to a 14-foot drop that allows
you to launch up to 22 feet
Alley 2 - Paranoid - rock drop with a
natural take off and narrow wooden landing between the trees
Alley 3 - Voodoo - rock garden
Alley 4 - Witch Doctor - North Shore
feature launching you straight into the air ending with a G-Out (a natural
landscape feature shaped like a berm ending in a straight and steep downhill
run out)
Expert Trails
Keystone offers Colorado’s most exhilarating downhill challenges with rock
gardens, rock drops and high-speed jumps. Take on runs like Motorhead,
Paid-N-Full, TNT and more.
Beginner and Intermediate Trails
This is the most fun you will ever have on a green run and a great way to
enjoy the downhill experience without being an expert biker. Runs like Let
it Ride and Mosquito Coast offer roller coaster rides over bridges and berms
without the steepness or rock gardens you’ll find in other areas of the
park.
ASX Skills Park
Located at the base of River Run. Session on park features ranging from
exposed bridge rides to gigantic teeter-totters. Keystone Bike Park offers a
way to progress your skills with beginner and intermediate jumps and an
expert gap jump.
