Directions: From Moab, Head south on the
main drag, from kane creek rd its about 3 miles on right, look for a sign
for hidden valley trailhead. Description - Decent little ride that is probably the closest to Downtown Moab. You can ride the trail either way but I would suggest clockwise (pipeline uphill, singletrack down, or even better, get a shuttle and just ride the singletrack in the DH direction. The views are decent by world standards but fairly low by moab standards, mix of mountains, powerlines and traffic in the distance.. Right near the start the trail does go thru a cool little rock tunnel. The trail work done to build this system is impressive. The entire trail was carved out of the sidehill, which is pretty cool. I give it an intermediate rating, but its pretty continuous since the trail is narrow and exposed, little room for error, almost like riding a skinny. The nature of the trail is pretty repetitive, carving around the sidehill, few dips into shallow valleys, crazy amounts of rock work. Not a trail you want or can go flying down due to its narrowness. To sum it up I would say its more challenging than fun. A decent short ride if you have an hour to kill, but don't plan your day around it. I suppose you could combine this somehow with the hidden valley, but the trails don't seem to jive together. I wonder if hidden valley even jives with itself. I know I know sounds like a personal problem.. That massive hike a bike.. Ehhhh..
