Directions - Mass Pike to exit 11A for 495
South, take exit 21A onto Hopkinton Rd (135 East). Option #1: Go 1.1 miles
to left on Wood St, bear right on Saddle Hill Rd, parking is 1.1 miles on
right. Option #2: Go 1.6 miles and take left on Cedar St (85 North), follow
1 mile to ranger station on left or Rafferty Rd parking on left. Description - This
park is cool if you’re afraid of getting lost because all trails are very
well marked. Also good if you’re afraid of hills, there aren’t too many.
Lots of short ups and downs though that make it a good work out at least.
Well maintained trails and very scenic along the Hopkinton Reservoir. I like
to park on Saddle Hill Rd on the south side of the res and make your way
over to do the loop around the res and then hit the Long trail and the
various fun trails up and down the hill on the north side. Parking at the
ranger station on Cedar Street shortens the loop a bit. Good trails are the
Glebe, Long Trail, Res Loop and well, just ride everything on the map, you
have time. It is also very easy to make an epic loop between Hopkinton,
Whitehall, and Upton State Parks. |
