Directions - From 91 south take exit 24
(rte 99 or silas dean highway south) right at exit, drive about 5
miles through stoplights and look for a left turn onto Nooks Hill Road, then
take your 3rd hairpin left (no road name but some industrial buildings
name).. anyway, keep going, follow under RR tracks (tight squeeze),
and take a left onto Field road. Follow field road and just before you
cross the tracks again, there is a dirt parking lot on your right.
Cant miss it! Description - OK - I had very low
expectations of this place and was pleasantly surprised!! There are
some fire roads here, some double track and even some not so exciting single
track... BUT, and its a big BUT - we found some awesome trail
sections, crazy stunts, and plenty of other moderate trail enhancements that
kept us intrigued. There are NO rocks here - I sh!t you not... not
even one.. But there are tons of logs to ride over, some small ramps
and bridges, one section of really cool small gully's, then a steep drop
into a big gully with stairs on the other side.. Another great section
was this off - camber roller coaster on the edge of a cliff.. Great
stuff.. This place is very different than any other place I have
ridden in CT.. Hats off to the guys that are building the trails and
maintaining them. There are even some fantastic views of the CT
river.. The area you will be riding is TINY, but for some reason you
really don't feel like its that small.. Do a quick loop here, if you
still have energy, just go to Middlesex..
