Lynns father laughed at me when he pulled in as he didn't see any
climbing partners ready to hike up with me. I was hoping crash test
wasn't too far behind (I didnt get his bailing email till later). So I
hiked up and set up a climb on wiesmann slab - tower crack (quick easy
setup), and luckily ran into dan the guy I met in the sucky gym monday.
He set up a nice easy 5.11 between careys corner and the 5.10. Dan
first made it about 1/2 way up the 5.11 then I climbed wiesman slab 5.6
(not as easy as it looks) to tower crack 5.8 (nice climb). Dan pointed
out that I needed new climbing shoes as my toes were just about sticking
out the sides. Dan climbed the slab and fell off on the first 2 feet
(oops) then climbed right up. Ok my - turn to climb the 5.11
(apparently). Didn't think I was going to make the first move but I
ended out making it 1/2 way up (plus 3 ft or so) - it was a bitch - no
hands, no feet, no joke. Then marty tried the 5.11 and made it all the
way up only coming off the wall once or twice. Weather was perfect
BTW. Back to lynns house for sweet & low covered strawberry's - YUK.

Next climb - thurs. Maybe someone will join me
